I am the Host of the Unnamed Knitting Podcast, and you can find me on Ravelry as DEVI0894Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07200792107564883515noreply@blogger.comBlogger77125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320831768646223678.post-75610192582683800252016-06-27T14:07:00.001-05:002016-06-27T14:13:29.081-05:00Announcement and ramble.
So first of all if you have been visiting this blog for shownotes relating to The Unnamed Knitting Podcast and/or The Right To Bear Yarns podcast, thank you! But all my shownotes will be located in each episode's thread on Ravelry, in the Right To Bear Yarns group going forward. It's much more manageable.

That said, this is 100% a personal blog and I plan to use it as such.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_on to the real content of this post_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

I will not let myself think that just because people have different or opposing opinions from my own that I should see their side or agree.

I will not allow myself to feel bullied when people are just expressing themselves in the same way I did.

I will do my level best to not take things personally, because most of the time, it isn't.

I will love myself no matter how many strangers make mean-spirited comments, and no matter how many people ask me if I'm pregnant when I am DEFINITELY NOT.

I will act with confidence.

I will not feel like I am a waste of someone's time.

I will love the business I am putting together and pour my soul into it.

I will listen to Shouty Shan with a grain of salt and understand that I CAN BE BETTER, and I can listen to things that don't necessarily apply without constantly thinking "not everyone does that" or "well this doesn't apply"
I will remind myself that being argumentative doesn't do me any good and frequently only makes me more argumentative towards other people.

That said I will stand up for myself when rude customers are argumentative and demand answers that I can't give. And I will be patient when people ask questions that I have answered a million times to others.

I will not deny myself bathroom breaks, or water, or 10 seconds to sit down in the name of customer service. I am a person with basic needs and I have to take care of myself in order to be able to survive the day

I will remember that God has got my back.

WIPs
Sunken Treasure Shawl - Is nearing the end. More than halfway done on the edging. Please visit Ravelry page for notes on how this shawl was constructed

Johnson Baby Blanket - The end is in sight on this one too. Just keep knitting, just keep knitting...

Bandwagon Blanket - Only a drop in the proverbial bucket here, but I am still thoroughly enjoying it

Contrasty Socks - Don't judge me for casting on a different sock before doing the second of the purple ones from the last episode. I just needed a change of color on my needles, and it is MUCH easier to do a different sock than a different shawl.

SPINNINg

I have forgotten to film spinning this week. Which means that next week I will have more to show you. I can't believe myself, I was just so excited about showing off the new yarn.
I'm fairly certain that I haven't introduced anything new in this episode.
Forgive me, but I never got a chance to publish the same day I filmed, as the public computer at my apartment complex office was occupied.
I'll do my very best to get everything covered, but IF I have forgotten something please give me a shout, and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have about my projects.
So, where can you find me??

My Granny squares are just THIS typical open square pattern, and I'm up to FIFTY-THREE at the time of publishing.
My Robin's Nest is chugging along. I am quickly running out of yarn, so I will probably be casting off much quicker than I really intended to, but as you can see the thing is enormous and I've added a couple more rows since filming.
NO I still haven't touched Steven's socks, except to move them out of the basket so I could start thinking about edging my squares. (I need to stick the yarn on a long needle so it will spin freely when I pull more yarn.
The spinning was neglected during my week at Fort Hood, and basically everything else.
Follow me on Instagram for real-time updates on things like my blankets and spinning. I am much more active there as well. I have my setting to private, but I allow nearly everyone who requests.
